Corina Jasmin is a young emerging Perth artist, specialising in photography and painting.  She completed her Bachelor of Arts (Art) in 2009  at Curtin University of Technology in Western Australia, and is now studying Honours in Art at Curtin.  Corina has already been in a number of well known exhibitions locally and internationally, and has showcased her work in many galleries including the Art Gallery of Western Australia.   Corina’s artwork is also a part of the Curtin University of Technology Art Collection.

Corina’s art is about her own life and experiences, to connect the viewer with our universal emotions- loss and grief, love and hope, despair and darkness, and the searching for answers, justice and truth.  She depicts these experiences through sharing the personal and intimate parts of her life in a visual way that connects with viewers, and helps enlighten people to particular issues in our society. Corina’s art is a reflection of the journey that she has been on through life, and she portrays her experiences, emotions, beliefs and thoughts through her work.   Go To Gallery

“My work is an expression of my experiences in life that have deeply affected me and led me to who I am today.  For me, art is not so much about speaking to the mind, but more about speaking to the heart.  I like to invade the viewer’s soul and let a picture speak to them individually in a way that words cannot.” Corina Jasmin

“The work of art is not just effort, work, study, technique,

but also madness, vision, action…

All aspects that, like the more laborious, difficult,

and boring things, are rightly a part of life.

AND TRUE ART ALWAYS SPEAKS TO US OF LIFE”

- Francesco Bonami
